History of Victory Baptist Church

Victory Baptist Church was Organized on February 25, 1968 in a home
on Austell Rd. Marietta,Ga. There were 27 Members. A building was then
rented, which is now known as A-1 Rent all. The men of the church formed
a rock altar on a hill behind the building. The first deacon board was formed.

In our first Vacation Bible School there were 113 present. We moved into
our current church on the first Sunday in September, 1968.

Our Homecoming is held each year on the second sunday of September.

OUR STATEMENT OF BELIEF:

We believe in the divine, infallibel, inspired Word of God. We hold true to the King James Version of the Bible.

We believe in the trinity of the Godhead, eternally existing in three persons ... Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7)

We believe that all men have sinned and came short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23), alienated from God and utterly unable to remedy his condition in need of the Saviour.

We believe that Salvation is by faith in Christ, by Gods Grace ,on the merits of His atoning sacrifice, not by our works. (Eph 2:8-9)

We believe in the eternal salvation of the saved and the eternal punishment of the lost.(John 3:16-21)

We believe it is the duty of each Christian to make soul- winning a diligent endeavor as we proclaim the Gospel to every creature by word and deed. (Rom 1:16)

We believe in the virgin birth, death, burial and resurrection of our lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (Matt 1:21-23)(Matt chap's 28 & 29)

We believe that every Christian should separate from every worldly and sinful pleasure, practiced or association that would bring reproach upon the name of Christ. (2 Cor chap 6.)

We sincerely accept these truths, to faithfully live by the moral and spiritual standards that God's word declares.
